Really sounds like a plan, but the parking will be impossible but we'll make it work.

Post up if you like the idea of a weenie roast on the mtn at sunset!  {letseat}

Got a portable grill, folding chair and a cooler... Ready as I will ever be.
I've grown tired of this.

We can park tire on tire :)

I'm good either way, whatever the group wants is cool

I would rather eat in Downtown Helen Personally, but obviously not alone. I gotta tell ya, it's gonna be cold on top of the Mountain when the sun sets! I'd rather be in a restaurant/bar when the sun goes down. </BEER/> Majority wins this one though, unless we split

I am game for eating downtown. I know the wife and kid will not like sitting outside to eat. Ready for the tide though and the weekend away

Yep, it's going to be cold.  if it's windy, it will be brutal up there.  If it has rained, stockers will have trouble with the bypass/  The main will be snot 4 foot deep ruts.   Good news is it isn't very far from whee he good road ends, and can be hiked in 10 minutes.

It's 30 minutes back to Helen.  Should we stay and eat in Hiawassee?

Or do most want to leave before dark, and go to Helen for some grub?

If we split, I'll decide then based on where I'm sleeping.

Hiawasee does not have much that I remember.
I've grown tired of this.
