well I got a room booked would rather camp to save the cash but with the chance of rain I don't feel like packing all the camping gear. I did enough camping in the rain when I was working for Uncle Sam

I'll second that. Where is everyone staying? I'll probably get a room for Saturday night.

I am no weather pro (hell the pro's are not even right  </LMAO/> ) but now when I watch the map thing on weather channel site the "future" cast shows the rain almost past Delta by noon (AL Time) today....

I am looking at the radar on weather.com right now and it looks like whatever rain was going to fall on MM has done so already.  I still plan to pack camping gear to see how it is when we get there tomorrow.  If its too wet to camp, we'll do the hotel thing

Just avoid the creek area crossing... That was the point in my offroad "career" that I began to truly hate mud. Never seen a bigger cluster F than that day.
I've grown tired of this.

Yeah, I think it is better now, the road past the steel bridge is built a little but it can still be a mess.

According to weather dot com. the 24hour rainfall for heflin area = .2"-.5". I don't know how well MM recovers from rain but it stopped raining there about two hours ago and there isn't any more on the way.  //SLAMIN//

MM is about 15 miles south of Heflin so that should be fairly accurate. I would say MM recovers very average. Lots of trees to block any sun that may help to dry things out. May the wind will blow through tonight.

But, we were there last year and it rained the night before. It was wet in the morning but did dry out fairly decent. We'll see tomorrow!
