My 02 7.3 has a DPTuner - I just have stock, tow, econ.  Use econ all the time when not towing.

My Bullydog has the econ/tow setting as the same. My Dodge is a 2006 4x4 with the H.O. Cummins. It will get 19-22 mpg depending on terrain. My truck seems to run better with a bit of a load on it. If I turn it up to the performance setting it will smoke the 38/12.50's just about as long as I  hold it open. I never run it there cause the fuel mileage is terrible.
The biggest thing you could do to help your mileage would be to change gear ratio,4.10 is pretty low.
I ordered 4.33 gear sets in my truck with the six speed auto and I can pull anything I hook to.
We have a 41ft. Cyclone toy hauler that weighs in at 18000 lbs. Add all my wife's junk and two full size Harleys and 35 gallons of gas in the refueling station and I'm sure it comes in at or around 22000 lbs. and we pull that thing all over these mtns up here and out west. Fuel mileage really sucks but it will do it.

Scott, am I reading this correct. Your fuel mileage stays the same with the power bumped up. I would think that's a good thing? Also I would probably send it back, there is probably a update for something that might help out. Or at least call about it

Yep, with the exact same load on the same trips I get 12-12.5 mpg towing at 75 mph, stock and in the 50 hp setting. I have never towed in any of the higher settings. I was hoping to see a small improvement towing with the chip since the truck does not work nearly as hard getting up to speed or on the hills. More boost=more fuel so i guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

With the truck empty on the highway I lose about 1-1.5mpg if i don't turn it back to the stock setting, this is at 75.

That's interesting. I have the 6.4 but when I tune it to it's highest setting of 300hp of stock (650hp, 1200 tq) I gain mileage unloaded.

i have a 95 f350 e fuel conversion 238 hybrid injectors 6.0L intercooler d66 turbo 5" straight piped, head studs upgraded valve springs and push rods and a tw 6 pos. the problem with the obs is all of your power is below were you drive on highway with your 4.10 setup your probably turning 2000 rpm at 59 maybe 60 mph your best bet for fuel economy is to go to a set of 3.55 gears i get almost 20 highway and the motor will run cooler. especially with the zf5. i have built prob 20 of these 7.3 so whatever you need help on let me know. Yes the programmes are completely different form back then the formatting has changed. just send it in and they will do a reburn for you.

Alright I towed the Jeep for the first time since I added the chip. Went to
Choccolocco Saturday. I had it set on the 75 hp / 140 ft/lb. One of the first
things I had to watch was starting off from red lights on wet pavement....LOL

I could tell a big difference in how easy it was pulling.......and I got an extra
2 mpg....That may not sound like much but it adds up over 2 tanks of diesel.

Going to start out on the way to Moab tomorrow in the 75hp setting. We see what kinda of mileage that gets me, hopefully no worse than the 12.11mpg back when it was stock. I have been towing in the 50 hp setting since I got the chip.

AFE intake, 4" down pipe and 5" muffler back and that's it besides the chip. Oh and gauges of course.
