if you decide to do anything else you should do a boost fooler next it will stop the defueling at 25 psi its really a mini air pressure rugulator you can get them from beans diesel performance makes a big dif also think about modifying your idm.

Well before the Harlan trip I added a EGT gauge.
The highest it hit for Harlan on some of those hills
was 1200 degrees twice. At least I know for sure now.

/\---- definitely a must, I drive by mine while towing. Crossing the continental divide at 11K ft I had to back off the throttle almost the whole way up to keep the EGTs in check.
