Beer/wine prices
« on: October 10, 2013, 08:26:52 PM »
My wife and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary next month, and we are looking to see if anyone knows a place were we can buy beer & wine in bulk at a discounted rate.

Any help will be appreciated!

A local independent liquor store will probably be willing to wheel and deal if you talk to the owner or manager. Cash will help as it will avoid the 3% fee they are charged.

Most stores give case discounts on wine, usually 10%.

A nice assortment of wine (whatever women drink) = 15 or so bottles.

As far as beer goes, we may have to grab a keg. I'm just not sure how much beer to get. 150 +/- //BEER// 's

Kegs are a lot easier to deal with than bottles and cans, but variety will likely be better with bottles and cans.   I'd go with bottles and cans.

Danny, I have keg taps for domestic and international kegs, if you want to make it a treat and use co2 for the keg(s).  The beer will taste better, you should have less beer wasted to foam, and the beer can be kept around after the party if the kegs don't get floated.  I can drop them off when I drop off the truck later this month...just let me know.  You will need co2 and a regulator, plus some beer and gas hoses.
