I asked since it seems like a major change from what you do today.  Are you on the 'sales' team there?

I've been in software pre-sales for 22 years and the acronyms are endless.  Career growth and opportunity is fantastic in software.  Good luck with the new gig even though Oracle is the sworn enemy...

Yes, Inside sales *cough* I mean Oracle E-Business Suite Solutions Specialist.

Huge jump! I've been in auto aftermarket for the past 6 years now. So this is all 100% new to me.

I'm figuring out once you can drill down past all the BS jargon it is fairly simple to understand. Just need to learn the language.

This is the biggest reason I accepted the job.

I loved what I did at Allsouth. I got paid by the hour to look up truck and jeep parts. Wasn't exactly an easy decision but I think it's whats best for the future.

haha John, care to elaborate on why we're enemies?

This is kinda how I felt when I started my new job, luckily I'm good with electronics, PLC's, motors, and wiring so it wasn't too bad for me.

Congrats!

Dis they let you keep your precious long and flowing hair? I'm very thankful I can do No shave November without fear of No job December haha.
