Suggestion needed.

Come up Friday evening and camp, ride sat, leave sat evening.

OR....

Come up early sat am and camp sat night, leave early Sunday.

What say you?  //:hlp//

Trying to make this work and wondering which would be a better option.

Thanks!

Weather dependent call eventually, but I would plan for: Friday - Saturday option.  More time in the seat.

I would say come up Sat AM if you're close enough, cuz there will definitely be more campfire activity Sat night than Fri night. Although I think I may bail after riding Saturday...depends on how I feel at the end of the ride, and if I camp...may stay in hotel. Weather looks good ( 32/58 ), based on average highs and lows, though, so hopefully camping.

Is there a hotel where people are staying Friday night?  I'm think about leaving work and driving to AL, wheel until about 4 or 5 on Saturday, then drive home.

No, I won't be camping and freezing my ass off.   //LMAO//

I'm at the Hilton garden inn in Oxford.  There are cheaper ones...
but I'm not going to start a fight over $35 extra bucks.

Thanks all.  Let me see what work schedules look like. Hopefully it works out we can get there at a decent hour Friday.  If not... Saturday campfire sounds good too!   Thanks!

I couldn't agree more.  I've worked too hard and I'm too old to stay in a fleabag motel.

So I'm checking out the youtubes of Morris Mountain, like ya do, and it seems like many just take bad lines and make stuff look more difficult than it is. I'm pretty new to the sport but I feel like I learned a good bit in Moab. Like in this video,
it seems his spotter is just giving him bad lines — any thoughts from the seasoned members here? Just opening up discussions on the topic as I plan on bringing my two-year old to this ride and want to play it safe.

Good, bad, and ugly isn't bad. Los Primos is a little nasty. There is plenty for 1 tons to play on. So it will hold anyone. Miller motorsports has a pretty good video back from rbd.

This will be a great ride for you, but keep in mind wheeling in the SE is 10x harder than Moab. You will literally take a different line in the afternoon than you did in the am, once the trails dry off a little bit it's a whole different park.
But this group has a lot of experience and most of the guys have wheeled here several times, so it shouldn't be an issue + there are bypasses at every obstacle. I can't wait to get back out in the woods! If it's to cold I'll be at the local hotel for sure!

Ok, I wondered about that!  Duct tape will work in a worst case scenario.  Perhaps bungie chords.
