If my JK isn't in the shop for its axle build and corners, I will probably make this trip. Come Friday wheel, grab a hotel, and wheel Saturday and head out

Bonfire sounds better! They are less than a year old, they only worked for about 3 rides. I'll get a new paddle lock if it comes down to it though. Replacing the fuel cell next week and I'll be ready //SLAMIN//

This will be a great ride for you, but keep in mind wheeling in the SE is 10x harder than Moab.
That's what I was starting to think. Makes me curious what trails you guys do in Moab. Still trying to make it out there again with the club but I wouldn't be able to leave town until the 25th.

So I'm checking out the youtubes of Morris Mountain, like ya do, and it seems like many just take bad lines and make stuff look more difficult than it is. I'm pretty new to the sport but I feel like I learned a good bit in Moab. Like in this video,
it seems his spotter is just giving him bad lines — any thoughts from the seasoned members here? Just opening up discussions on the topic as I plan on bringing my two-year old to this ride and want to play it safe.

That's not a good video to watch for Morris Mountain. That particle obstacle has three sections; good, bad and Ugly. He was in the middle section of bad with a crap spotter and open an open front. We'll hit that and have some fun, lots if fun safe lines to play on. Ben can show you his special line on Ugly.

One of the best things about this park is that there are plenty of bypasses. It's a great park to wheel.

Hello,

I was wondering if the trail riding was on Sat and Sun or just Saturday thanks

You can ride Sunday but most folks go home.  Ask who else wants to ride Sunday.

Same club and painful to watch, but like a car accident about to happen, I couldn't turn away!

WRT GBU, JKs will have a tougher time, esp on Ugly, as the breakover is very sharp.  Don't try Ugly without a good spotter.

Even Good is very tough when wet.

I agree with KVOM, Tony spotted me last year on that and got me over on the first try.  That video was good at showing how not to drive (and spot)...wow.

I might be riding with somebody if I can't get some cash for shock replacement in time. Who has an empty seat? Might bring a minion with me...
I've grown tired of this.

Warner Robbins Jeep Club.  Good club, met some of there guys, very nice.  They have an active club and forum, we share some forum members.  I know Michigunman and I are on their forum occasionally.  Yes, that video was long and drawn out but that particular trail is a good one. You can see in that video how many different lines there are on just that one section.  Sure hope it is reasonably dry.
