wow.  i gave 3 co-workers a lift home.  had to take the windjamer down so they would get some heat in the back.    only had 2 slick spots...   4wD.  zipped right up, passed 5 cars off in the ditch.  we did not see anyone in the cars, ..   passed a few ppl walking but they said they where almost home.

got home around 7 after taking them home.   went out this morning around 6am.   ice.. lots of ice.  i got out of my subdivision and up a few hills.  i keep waiting to be chased by zombies.  lol  wife called and said pancakes are ready.. so.  more exploring later..   seems the news is saying interstate closeing in lots of places ...

The part of this storm that I don't understand is that so many people that did not have to be out there, were clogging up the roads for people that did have to get home.  My buddy left work (Powers Ferry/285) and it took him 8+ hours to get home to Kennesaw.  His wife was home safe with the kids.  I told him to stay put and he said "i'd rather be in my car than the office".  Really?  I'd bet if the people that could/should have stayed put, did, drive times for those that needed to be some place would have been cut by more than half.

Lol. The state and governors office thinks the storm just "showed up from no where".

I'm not motivated to get out in the Jeep.

Bobby and Josh still out near Roswell road.

I left work at 1, got home at 11.

Confession: like an idiot I drove the Leaf to work, just wasn't thinking. Had to charge back up at Nissan in Marietta but it rocked the icy roads. Aired down the front tires and it pulled every hill.

Passed an FJ on the side of the road...

Yep! Prius made an excellent ice vehicle as well, I aired down too and the combination of the weight of the hybrid system on the front end and the electric motor make it super easy to put torque to the ground without breaking the tires loose made climbing hills easy. Ended up driving around a lot of SUVs with people who didn't understand the concept of finesse driving last night.

im wondering how bad it will be tomorrow.   i guess depends on how much the sun can melt.

Geesh, my 1.25 mile commute was horrible last night and this morning. Barely had time to do donuts in the parking lot before work... //BEER//
I've grown tired of this.

My office is closed today.  Took the wife to Waffle House and saw a wreck going and a partial head-on coming home where a dually sent a accord spinning like hell and into a ditch.  People are driving too fast on solid ICE.
