Guns and kids special tonight
« on: January 31, 2014, 07:15:19 AM »
Tonight 10pm on ABC they are having a 20/20 special about kids and guns. I already see how this is playing out with the prevues... looks to be a liberal minded version. Should be interested at least.

The prevues did look pretty non-conservative.  I am sure they will not show the benefits of having weapon within the reach of children.

 //LMAO//

The whole point to this special is to make all guns look bad. Liberals want you to believe that any gun sold will eventually end up in the hands of a child, that will use it to shoot up the school or their friends. There is obviously no good to come from children and guns, do we need a special? The end question will be should we ban them all? Why no specials on self defense and home defense with guns?

The parents of these children are irresponsible and should be charged with any death resulting from their lack of supervision and control of the weapon. Stricter penalty's would make people think twice about where they lay their guns. This is a small group of people, why punish the responsible gun owners? Why use these nitwits as examples?

I was obviously poking the bear with that one!   //LMAO//

I really did see it as a 'guns are bad' special.  I'm pretty sure they will cover a responsible owner, but most of the sensationalism will be related to incidents of irresponsible owners.

I plan to watch.

Hopefully Hayden will be home tonight and can watch with me.  I want to see what his take on what will most likely be a bias, leftwing news program...especially since we plan to go shoot on Saturday.  //SLAMIN//

Watched it.

Didn't seem anti gun. Seemed pro responsible gun ownership. It was strictly children and guns.

IMO, you own guns and have children in the house, it's all on you to keep them secure, anything else is negligent.

Tony, agreed. Made me think about how I store mine. Kids will be kids regardless of what we tell them. It was a good show all in all. Surprised to say the least.

At what age did they say children could be responsible with guns? Did they express a mental maturity for trusting kids with guns?
