My friend is measuring the one he has in Fort O to see which side it is. He'll let it go cheap

You can get a 8.8, with disc's, for less than $130 at U-Wrench-It, on Buford Hwy, in Norcross.

thats the plan, but i just need to get a D35 to steal parts off of or get the parts to fix mine so i can drive my jeep while i prep an 8.8 to go in

TJ & XJ Dana 35 shafts are interchangeable, if that helps any.
