That was the less exciting option. I'll have my tent with me up there, assuming we cant all park and have trailers there at the pavilion.

I use to put my tent on the ground. I mostly put it on the trailer. Put the air mattress in there and clothes. Never have an issue with the wind. Real easy and simple.

Yep, I never stake down my tent. Even in a pretty good wind it stays in place. You just need to put you cooler in one corner & all your other junk in the opposite corner.   
I have never had good luck with the cheap stakes that comes with a tent. I always seem to only find rocky ground.

here is the kodiak truck tent on my trailer


pretty damn comfortable, warm too, canvas really holds in heat well, and with a cot, it is oh so comfortable

Thanks for those pics.  I have not looked at canvas tents.  Cots are in the future!
