Tool Bag:
sockets, any odd sizes that your vehicle uses especially
wrenches
mallet/hammer
ratchet straps
wd-40
wire cutter or shears
gloves
some type of air supply
if your wheels have a lug lock, the key to it!!
a tarp to lay on

This is the basic recovery kit.  Good list David.

I would add D RingS...plural. More than one.

And...always check to make sure your winch controller is in working order AND in your bag.  It has been known to be left behind.
