Wheelin' in Tiger, GA
« on: March 09, 2008, 09:53:35 PM »
A Rover buddy told me about this place and apparently a lot of them wheel there. They like it because it has some good creek crossings. Has anybody been there or heard of it? If we don't get much riding done at Tellico for the Spring Fling, I was thinking about hitting these trails and checking 'em out on the way back on Sunday. So long as I can find good directions and somebody to come with. Looks pretty cool though. The pics I pulled from a guy's album on the same "land rovers only" forum. And apparently those are the trail head coordinates.

looks like it could be fun but I wonder how long the trail is and how difficult?

I'm looking into how long they are. They can't be too difficult if Rovers on 31s run it. Sorry, but that's just a fact.

Well, I'll be doing them eventually. Probably that Sunday after the Spring Fling, but if none of you guys can check it out I'll be going back up with that Rover guy and checking it out the week or so after that. Anybody is more than welcome to join us when we go. I'll have more info before then, but I just wanted to know if anyone on here had been.

Your map doesnt work. I would like to find more info about this place. Only an hour or so away. And his coordinates dont match google earth.

I think I have found the trails on Google Earth. If you go to Tiger, GA and go directly North, you can see some trails and those match the coordinates.

I wouldn't mind going.  I agree though, Rovers on 31's doesn't seem to pose too much of a threat.  But, I almost would welcome the change.  I just like getting off the pavement.  If it's just a little "Sunday" drive on some trails, why not?  Plus creek crossings!  That was always the sh!t when I was little.  My dad has his '86 Bronco and we'd go to the mountains to go trout fishing and we'd cross a couple streams and stuff, I thought it was awesome.

I'll see if I can find something. My Rover buddy has never been there. Just talks about going all the time. I'll make him search their forums until he finds the street names.
