That's what I was thinking man. We would be rolling right down 441 back into Athens so why not check this out if we're passing through. Anybody else is welcome to come too. I'll get some more info on the location of the trail head, length, and such.

I've been looking for that too. I'm pretty sure they're forest roads, but I'm still searching the Rover sites for any of that info. Last Friday we did take my buddies Rover above Milledgeville to the Oconee National Forest OHV roads. That was actually pretty fun. Nothing too difficult, but you end up in the middle of no where and there are so many trails that we almost got lost. Those are legal. I went to the Ranger station and asked about them. They're there so the public can enjoy the forest. We're gonna take my Jeep and his Rover up there again soon. It was a lot of fun. We're gonna make a day trip out of those trails and the Rock Eagle historic site and 4-H grounds.  ;D Yeah... we're history nerds.

Hey Will,
Would you tell me more about the trails North of Milledgeville.
Exactly where are they?  Off Hwy 212?

Off of 411 just north of Eatonton.  Heading north from town on 441 is the Rock Eagle entrance. We went in there and found the trails off of that road. (Not sure of the road name, but it's the main entrance.) The next time I'm going to Athens or to Rock Eagle I'm gonna get a map from the ranger station. The trails that we rode this weekend could all be done in 2wd with mud terrains. They were really fun though, and I'd go back in a second for more exploring if I had the gas money. A couple were dead ends into logged clearings. They were fun to explore at night in the rain.

If you like random American history stuff, it's a pretty cool place to check out. The only Native American site of it's kind east of the Mississippi. Plus you could use that as an excuse to go ride those Oconee Forest trails...... or River Rock. "Honey, let's take a nice family trip witch provides  historical and intellectual value for the kids..... I gotta go see my buddy Steve at this River Rock place really quick."  ;D
