Buddy of mines son is leading his first trip in the Grand Canyon this week.  Sounds like something a lot of you would like to do.

He is working for a co called just roughin it as a trail guide in the Grand Canyon.  Just started a few weeks ago and is on his first hike as the guide. Leading a group of 5 until Thursday morn.

Has to carry all food, cook for the group, take care of medical emergencies, know the plant and animal life and general history of the canyon.

My buddy does something like that for Philmont Scout Ranch as a Ranger. Backpacking like that is fun.

Sounds like a blast. Probably only pays by the trip, guides usually make $50 or so a day plus tips. I have a photographer friend who is working in Grand Teton Nat'l Park for the summer. The money isn't great but the fishing and scenery is.

That job sounds amazing. For someone single, who can accept responsibilities and has none at home.
