Do you know anyone with a boat for sale?
« on: August 29, 2014, 06:11:51 PM »
I'm looking for a cruiser something around a 35 to 45 footer. I though I would see if anyone in GATR knows of one for sale. I've looked at a couple but haven't found one I want yet. No wood boats! Fiberglass or aluminum.
Here are a couple I'm going to look at this weekend.

Boat= break out another thousand

Two happiest days of a boat owners life,
The day he buys it,
The day he sells it.

But, I would be without mine, nothing like being on the water!
Get dirty, or get off the trail!

Can't go wrong with older model Sea Rays. Awesome boats with thick fiberglass. I had a 24' sea ray with a cuddy cabin. It was a 1984

Agree with Bobby on the older Sea Rays and there are a lot of other good ones too.

I'll sell you an Air Nautique.

I have a co-worker with a circa 2012 cuddy cabin in the $160k range for sale.  If that appeals to you, let me know and I'll get the details.

Thanks Clark. I want to keep it under 75.000 I have been looking for a while now I just haven't seen the one that I really can't live with out. I liked one that was a older 48' Hatteras with twin Cat's. It just needed to much work done to it. It was in dry dock for over 5 years with out a cover or any maintenance. I'm going to look at a Chris Craft later today. I have seen this one before out on the lake. It looked clean and sounded like it runs good.

I haven't seen a Sea Ray I liked yet. I just don't like the way there laid out. But I really haven't looked at that many of them. I like the Trojan's and Hatteras.

From here to Alaska I never thought about it. That would take a lot of WVO to get all the way around to Alaska!
  The wife and I have been wanting to get another boat. We had to wait till the kids moved out and we don't have to support them anymore. (well not as much anyway) I had a 40foot Pacemaker back when Cheryl and I met. I lived on the water for 9 years 4 with Cheryl. I was a diver and did shell fishing. What every I could do on the water to make a $. Then we moved in land to have kids. We want to find something we can stay on for a couple weeks at a time if we want. I will probable take it from Eufaula Al down the Chattahoochee river to the Gulf someday. But for now we will use it on the lake. Cheryl and I are having fun looking. We looked at a Chris Craft today but one of the motors was bad and It's been sitting in salt water for a long time.

If you were looking for sailboats I'd have plenty of places to send you. For stink pots I'd probably look at http://www.boattrader.com/search-results/State-GA%7CGeorgia/NewOrUsed-any/Type-any/Sort-Length:DESC/ and http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/Power/Trawler
We have discussed selling the sailboat and getting a trawler but I am not sure about the gas mileage.
