Fender issues
« on: November 13, 2014, 08:02:30 AM »
Hello, I am about to get some flat fenders for my tj, and someone told me that there are some laws her limiting how small the fenders can be. Can you please tell me if this is true or not.

Also where could I mount my turning signal if I get the new fenders because the fenders take off the signal.

Thanks

As far as I know there are no laws in georgia regarding fenders. Bumpers yes. They must not be above a certain height from the road but that law is rarely enforced and I've seen some Mud trucks with bumpers 6' off the ground. You will still need some form of turn signal so you may have to look into some form of aftermarket light to use.

Thanks and if you don't mind, where did you buy the LEDs, and how how did you wire them up? Was it hard?

I have no fender coverage front or rear and have had no trouble with the po po. Now in other states it can be trouble. Utah is big on this. But I just used a JK front blinker for my turn signals as the plug is the same as the TJ so just make a hole in the grill, insert blinkers, plug in and go. Easy hour job with hole saw, drill.
