I wheeled with you last year and it was a blast!! Well organized!!  I expect the answer is no, but I am unable to make the start time. Is there a way to meet up in the early afternoon?  If not that's a bummer for me but I understand.
Yes!  Call me and leave a message. .. spotty service. ... and I will call you and tell you a place and a time. .. when you know when.

Everyone should grab the member phone number sheet for the ride.

I am looking to join GATR as a CORE member. This would be my first ride out with the group. Is there anything special I need to bring as in camping gear or anything? Also I am wondering If my truck would be to wide for the trails in Helen.  Thank you any info would be appreciated.
I've been told the trails will accommodate a full size rig...  Come on out...  Will be good to have another Power Wagon on the ride...

Doug,
Are any of these roads on our route? I think the Conasauga district is the dalton area but I wasn't sure.
Conasauga Winter Road Closures
Tuesday, December 30, 2014 1:00 AM
District Ranger Jeff Gardner plans to close the following roads on the Conasauga Ranger District for the winter, starting January 5, 2015 until March 6. As a result, Grassy Mountain, Lake Conasauga, Betty Gap, Three Forks and Ball Field will be inaccessible by vehicle. The closed roads include West Cowpen FS 17 south from the intersection with Mill Creek FS 630; Potato Patch FS 68 at Potato Patch Mountain; and Three Forks Road FS 64 at Potato Patch Mountain and Jacks River Fields campground. Visitors will still be able to utilize Jacks River Fields campground. View a map of the closed roads. This closure is due to the constant freezing and thawing conditions that cause the roadbeds to become soft, resulting in a public safety hazard as well as rutting and significant resource damage.

Could not find a clear answer that a bone stock (non Rubicon) JKU is good for this ride?

If Yes I will be in with my 9 yo daughter.
