1982? Jeep DJ5 postal jeep
« on: December 21, 2014, 11:46:02 AM »
I have a postal jeep for sale with 80,249 miles. I believe to be an early 80's model. This is a perfect project/restoration vehicle with lots of potential. This jeep was purchased from the USPS in the late 90's by a retired postal deliverer and it ran until a few years ago when he was no longer able to drive. It needs some TLC; primarily a battery and tires. The fluids are good and at good levels. There is no title for this jeep. I'm asking $600, GATR Price is $450.

At that price I am tempted...I have trouble not wanting to collect old "junk" ( I use that term in the nicest way possible Jim  //;D// ). I need more garage space for things just like this, then I could be amoung the ranks of legit hoarders.

I have a 96 cherokee coming my way. I would love to take the entire drivetrain of it and stick it in this so that I have a 96 cherokee in a cool disguise.

The wife would kill me though, at least I'm pretty sure of it.

Scott, you won't know until you try.

Does it run/ move? Same situation as Scott. I don't have anywhere to put it.

@Scott F. lol no offense taken, and I agree with Will. I don't think she would kill you. If it's the sum of cash, we could work out a payment plan either cash or some of your skill helping me with my jeep. Of if it's another vehicle sitting around, you could tell her it's mine and you're storing it there for me. Once you get the Cherokee you can swap it out and lose the Cherokee parts telling her that I just 'gave it to you'.

@94xjsport94 I haven't actually tried running it to be honest. I'm sure you could find a place even under a tree. It's not like you'd have to worry about damage to the paint. It's already accustomed to the outdoor lifestyle.  //LMAO//
