I'm building a still in January. If anyone can help with a mash recipe let me know.
The still will triple distill the ethanol.
I would probably target using cheap US 2 row barley, add in some sugar, and champagne yeast to handle the higher gravity.
I have a software application that can tell you what the target alcohol % will be based on ingredients. It is used for beer brewing, but the logic is the same, you're just getting about 20% of the output. There are some free applications out there, but I really like BeerSmith, especially for beer brewing. It's probably overkill for distillation.
