The only negative on the sig p238 is if you carry it cocked and locked because a CC pistol is no good if it's not loaded. But if that hammer goes down a bullet goes flying. I personally would only look at a safe action type pistol for CC carry. I had a sig P238 and got rid of it for that very reason.

Look at Kahr .380 and 9mm
Same as a Glock but alot cheaper
You can get a CM or CW .380 for $370. They have several different models or trim levels. It's a longer trigger pull but it won't go off in your pocket.

Danny, I carried a Bersa Thunder .380 for a few years and loved it. Has safety and is a very reliable concealable gun. No kick and accurate. Priced around $250 it is a great deal.
I've grown tired of this.

It's crazy much prices vary on very similar pieces.
Kevin that is exactly what she wants. Debating on painting and baking it my self. Seems like a cool project to take on. Just concerned about longevity

When you're ready to pull the trigger on an AR shoot me an email. I am a certified armorer on the M16/AR15 and an 07 FFL. If you want, I can walk you through the entire platform and show you how to put one together.
