Do you need to make reservations for camping? Sounds like there are some pretty tough trails, are there any noob like me can handle? Or any you guys plan on riding?

well im going to have to set this one out, but there are tons of easy/intermediate trials, that an open/open rig can handle.     1st time I went there i was open/open oon 33's .    and i did alot, even some stuff i should not have been on, but with the crew thats going, you have great spotters, and seasoned wheelers that can get u up/over/down just about anything.  just take ur time, and if you dont feel comfortable, just winch over it.

So far this is my favorite park. I readily enjoy Windrock. Last year a few of us were there for a week and I think we still were short a few trails. This park as every level of trail for every level of rig. The first time I was there I was open/open, on 33's, on a 3" BL, and a winch. There was plenty to do at that level. As for breaking and not being able to get back; in this group we never leave someone stranded. It doesn't happen. Oh and from personal experience there is at least one auto parts store 5 minutes from the park. I replaced an ignition component last year, amongst other parts. This is a great park to wheel at any level; I highly recommend going.

I might be sticking with you. I haven't been to this park before so hopefully there will be someone else in our group who has been there before.

I'm calling for a tent reservation tomorrow. Post up if you already have one so I can try to get close by.

There is a place called the Windmill Inn that is very close.   It is an old church converted into a bed and breakfast.

Great people, but when we stayed there last time it was so damn hot it was unenjoyable.  The big tv, poker table, and pool table were not used much due to the temperature in the chapel.  Wi-Fi was not very strong.  They did have a garage where you could pull a jeep to work on it.  They have a community fridge for strong food and drinks.

I'm not staying there this time!

I checked the windrock website and it says they are having a jamboree the weekend before on April 16-18. So is there another jamboree 24-26 that will be effecting people on the easier trails?
