We're considering the trip to see the Aetna.  If we are late, should we just look for the dust cloud?

From what I saw if you donít know the way you would be doing damn good to find people on the trail.

Just talk to Megan, she is down to ride if my brother isnít Saturday so Chris you will have company unless something unexpected happens. I wonít be getting extreme this trip so ill bring limited tools.

I'm still a maybe. I am going to the race Sunday, but I'm only going for the day. I'm leaning more towards the yes, than no. Weather will probably sway me a little.

If I go, do you want to ride up together Jeremy?

we can caravan. I figure ill be leaving my neck of the woods at 7:30 to get there at 9:30. 2 hours might be a little much but last time we ran into two accidents on 75 North so got to give time for that stuff.

How long do ya'll plan on riding. I really have the itch to go wheeling even with Beasley coming up. I have some going on late that night before so I would be done there until 10 or 11 at the earliest and I don't want to make the drive down to Chattanooga just for 3 hours or so.

Ben, honestly, it's one of those deals where you ride until you are ready to get out.  I can't really answer the "how long" question.   :-[

Gotcha. I just know sometimes we ride til night and other times we're done by 3 or 4. I guess I will just have to make a game day decision.

well Doug i see you want to go, Mike you going? My brother is all game for Saturday so I am ready. I told him to be at my house at 7:30 so if yall want we can all plan to hit a part of the interstate about the same time. I figure to be there by 9:30 I need to be on the road at 7:30... i think. If we want to meet somewhere close by I can tell him to be here a few minutes earlier. Suggestions?

Mike! O well, one less rig to make mine look so small. Anyways, so we still good on 9:30 at the McDonalds Chris? and is that other XJ coming?

Doug, if you want to meet we can, I live off Beaver Ruin Rd but there isnt anywhere to really meet up there that is decent to get in and out off by the interstate. If you wanna just "time" it we can do that. If you go to the GATR map you can find directions to Aetna. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=108554824603445950266.00044816414ffaff05de5&z=7

-OR-

Here are Chris's directions from the last Aetna ride

Take I-75 North across the GA/TN state line and proceed to the I-75/I-24 split.  Take I-24 West towards Nashville.  Once you wind around the river on your right, you will get off at Browns Ferry Rd. Turn left and you will see the McDonalds and gas station on your left.

If you don't want to meet at McDonalds, just keep past McDonalds about a mile and you will come to a traffic light.  At the light, you will stay straight, which will put you onto Wauhatchie Pike.  You will go about a mile and turn right onto Cummings Rd.  Follow Cummings Rd. about 3/10 mile past the I-24 bridge and you will turn left into (what looks like) a new subdivision with no houses.  You will follow that drive up and around a small "round about" and come to the top of the hill and turn left onto the gravel road.  About 500 yds up is where most people unload and it is obvious when you get there.
