Post up your bar or restaurant reviews!!!!

I love to eat!  I love to cook at home but also enjoy going out as well.  Always on the lookout for new spots that turn out to be great(or crappy) and old spots that have been forgotten but still awesome.

Went to a new restaurant that just opened within the month in Roswell last night, Big Ketch. http://www.thebigketch.com/

One has been in Buckhead for a few years but never made that one.

The one in Roswell is on Canton Street, a re-developed old house.  Free valet parking, spacious bar and seating area.  They gave us a booth that seated 6 even though we were a party of 4 which was nice, plenty of room to operate!  There was live music, a guy and his acoustic guitar, he was good and also just the right volume.  We had a real good waitress who offered solid advice.

Appetizers: we had two, the smoked fish dip with pita chips and the lobster egg rolls.

The smoked fish dip had some nice chunks of fish and was creamy type.  Very good but nothing amazing.

The lobster egg rolls had a sweet chili sauce on them and they were damn good.

My wife had the salmon, plain. They had blackened, jerk, and a coca-cola bbq glaze but she likes it plain.  She asked for Med-Well and it came just as requested. It was very good.  Came with hush puppies and Broccoli.  I had a hush puppy, super good.  Didn't taste the broccoli, it is what it is.

I had the Sweet/Hot Chili Po'Boy sandwich with potato salad on the side.  It was fantastic and big!  The shrimp were super tasty and lightly fried.  The Chili sauce was real good, a perfect blend of sweet and spice.  The bun was thick and fresh.  The potato salad was very good but the sandwich was so big I barely ate any.

They had a decent beer list, local craft beers as well.  Bar drinks were solid, definitely not watered down.

A+ seafood joint

Thanks for the review Tony.  I live right up the street and we've talked about going there.  They've been working on the build out for almost a year.  Should be a great place to hang out in the summer months on the front porch.

The front area is huge.  Should be awesome when the weather is nice

My father in law owns fishermans catch in Lilburn ga. He is voted #1 seafood for the entire county and has had the same place for 31 years now.

Does fish specials all weekend. Thursday is all you can eat crab legs, boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, and 2 sides $27.99 (that should be the going price). Won't see that at a red lobster.

Can confirm, Big Ketch is damn good.

We have a few favorites in or around Roswell that seem to always impress us in one way or another.

Little Alley Steak (http://littlealleysteak.fhfoodtradinggroup.com/)- some of the best steaks I've ever eaten.  Cool atmosphere, crazy whiskey list.  They also own a few other restaurants in downtown Roswell that all do very well. (Salt, Fix, and others)  All of their restaurants are very well run.

Hugo's Oyster Bar (http://www.hugosoysterbar.com/) - also great seafood.  I am usually a pretty tough critic on Seafood since it's tough to find anything close to stuff from LA, but this one and Big Ketch both impress.  Also, brunch here has been phenomenal with bloody mary and mimosa bars.

Seed -Upscale American -  (http://www.eatatseed.com/)  Never had a bad meal here. It's connected to a little wine bar that is nice for a drink before or after dinner.

Moxie burger (http://www.moxieburger.net/)  Awesome Burgers with decent beer list.  Cool outdoor seating in the Roswell location.
