^^^ I need to remember not to trust your Mexican food opinion.

What specifically do you like there?  I'm sure my beer club will force me to go back there some day, so i'd like to know what is special that should be ordered.

I meant that more for the places that you liked.

I just learned about Nuevo Laredo and have only been once. I think I ordered fajita steak tacos or similar. Fresh tortillas go a long way for me.

Uncle Julios makes the tortillas fresh, right in front of you if you are on that side.

I'm pretty sure OTB has fresh tortillas.  Now, understand, I only order Fajitas at OTB.  I do like their salsa and chips (thin).

I used to have them as a client and went there regularly (uncle Julio's) and was never really impressed. Been probably 2yrs since I've been back.

Is the food at bonegarden cantina pretty good? I love good Mexican (or Tex mex) food. Can't get better than TX, but these are my favorites around here so far. Please post up other favorites.

Papasitos - chain, but only one outside of TX.

Nuevo Laredo

(Spelling?)
i do like the Bone Garden food.  Feels more authentic to me.  Plus they make fresh tamales and have chorizo.  If you're ever up for lunch there during the week, let me know.

The decor is cool too.  Day of the dead Skelton stuff everywhere.

Went to a, new to me, bbq joint yesterday for lunch. Smokebelly on E. Andrews Drive in Shmuckhead.  It was an impromptu WJM meeting that Jay and the Don attended.  Since Jay is not a true WJM member he was allowed to listen to the discussion but was not allowed to speak.

Damn good food, and a variety of items on the menu.

They start you off with Fried Pork Rinds.  I have never been a fan but these were fairly light, not greasy and pretty tasty.  We also had the Bacon Deviled Eggs appetizer, got 4 of them.  Very tasty.  Had something crunchy in like celery that I liked.

I had the 50/50 burger, ground bacon and ground brisket with a spicy cheese and fried onions.  Very good but real rich.  It was not a huge burger and didn't need to be. Got the baked mac and cheese on the side and it was steller.

Looking forward to going back to this one.

WJM member or not, Jay should never be allowed to speak.  Good move.
