I hope you are visiting little italy..

Probably not.

We had dinner at a real good Italian place Sunday called I trulli on 27th street, a good but up from Little Italy but it was damn good.

Pizza last night at John's in Greenwich Village. It was good but nothing special.

Had some good beer at the Blind Tiger Ale House which was recommended and completely coincidentally right across the street from John's

Just a normal pizza-by-the-slice place should be available...somewhere...and should be awesome.

McSorley's is really cool too. Lots of cool history and worth a stop if you are around.

Blind Tiger!  Nice.  Love that place.

Isn't McSorleys cash only and you have to order 2 beers at a time?

I don't remember it being cash only, but yes you get two beers at a time. Also it's light or dark beer, 2 options. Fun place for a change.

That's right!  When I was there the bartenders were pretty much wearing trash bags from slopping beer around.  Goal is to drink as much beer as fast as possible there.  Was a fun time.

Found a decent lunch place at the Galleria called The Big Chow.  Mongolian BBQ.  I like it because I can create a healthy but delicious dish.

Forgot about this place, Tacos La Villa near Cumberland Mall.  Went there for lunch this week.  It used to be a Quiznos and they have left all the decor and furniture and they make great more authentic Mexican food.

Went to Community BBQ in Decatur today for lunch.  Damn good ribs.  Slaw was real vinegary and I didn't really care for that but didn't care. Ribs were an A.  Would give an A+ if the rub had a little more spice to it.

Friend had sliced brisket sandwich and said it was awesome. Other guys had pulled pork sandwich and said the same

Went to a, new to me, bbq joint yesterday for lunch. Smokebelly on E. Andrews Drive in Shmuckhead.  It was an impromptu WJM meeting that Jay and the Don attended.  Since Jay is not a true WJM member he was allowed to listen to the discussion but was not allowed to speak.

Damn good food, and a variety of items on the menu.

They start you off with Fried Pork Rinds.  I have never been a fan but these were fairly light, not greasy and pretty tasty.  We also had the Bacon Deviled Eggs appetizer, got 4 of them.  Very tasty.  Had something crunchy in like celery that I liked.

I had the 50/50 burger, ground bacon and ground brisket with a spicy cheese and fried onions.  Very good but real rich.  It was not a huge burger and didn't need to be. Got the baked mac and cheese on the side and it was steller.

Looking forward to going back to this one.
hit up Smokebelly today.  It was awesome.  Good Q and a good beer selection.  Did you see they have a speakeasy in the back?

My wife went with some work folks to The Big Ketch in Roswell last night.  She said that her crab cakes were dry and awful.  She did say that everyone else's food looked good and they seemed to enjoy it.
