I need to find and try Smoke Jack, that is a new one to me.

Anytime you want to try it, I'll be happy to meet you.  It's in Alpharetta.
If it's scheduled properly and my job doesn't crap on me,  I'd meet y'all up there.  Since I moved from mansell to Dunwoody I haven't been there. :(

So I tried GC BBQ in Roswell. I got pulled pork and a side of brisket with collard greens and potato salad. Overall, I would rate it good. Brisket was dry. Good bark on the pork. Smoke flavor overall was average. For me, for joints near me I would still rate Smokejack as my top, followed by Cue and GC would be next.

Good brisket on the east coast is not easy to find.  I think it's so unusual here that people don't know it can be so much better.  It's not as bad as trying to find need ribs, but it's close.

agreed on the Brisket.  I usually don't find it at a joint that is better than mine, usually its worse.  Community BBQ on Clairmont has some darn good Brisket.

I also think Community Q has awesome brisket. They are pricey but deliver big size portions.

After tubing in Ellijay yesterday I wanted to find a local hole in the wall. Well, we found it. We stopped & ate at Pooles BBQ on 515. It was pretty good. They probably had the best Brunswick stew I've ever eaten & I'm not a fan. The baked beans were also pretty good. I got the sliced brisket sandwich. It was almost cold but every time I get brisket its the same temperature. I want it warn or hot. Oh well.
The bite of pulled pork I had was really good. Next time I'll get that.
They had 3 sauces & it was hard to pick a favorite but I'd say the sweet was the best. It had a tab bit of heat to it.
My wife said she was impressed. I would agree.
