Some give the little 380 and even the infamous 22 (which I loves, been shooting it over 50 years) a lotta crap. I think a person that considers any caliber not viable is foolish, and doesn't take into account any of the other possible contributing factors for a given event. Such as target distance, how far away do you expect to be when you must fire? Then there's cover, am I out in the open or is there some cover available? To me it's all about POI point of impact and one round per. If I'm going up against an opposition with a rifle at a 100 or more feet and I'm with any handgun then my factors at when the best opportunity is to fire vary considerably and cover becomes first importance. I'm not in the most opportunistic set of events. Which brings me to the next factor as what I like to refer to as the Quick Drop Zones. Point of impact on a body is key. I've never seen any living being run or walk very far with a severed spine or a popped cantaloupe. Now a what distance can I with assurance hit that point at the quickest opportunity? Long story short, handgun= CQB so if I can't pop a cantaloupe (even with 4 layers of Denim on it //;D// ) at 50 feet with any caliber then I need to just RUN FORREST RUN //LMAO//
