600. and I would like the barrel sticking out , that does not bother me..  maybe some rail, but not as long as what you have, maybe 1/2?.     

so the only thing i would need is sights?  and eventually if i wanted to add some kind of scope but not for now..   also, would this come with a few clips for the ammo? if so
how many round and whats the cost of extra clips?

No Magazines come with them. You can buy all sizes. Most common is a 30 round Magazine. If you buy Magpul brand you can find them from $10-$15

You can buy cheaper ones but they don't feed as well

on a side note, will this be able to fire both .223 and 5.56 nato rounds?

Hmm.. trigger pin.  i dont know alot of them kind of look the same.   and please dont show me any springs, im sure this thing is loaded with them of all shapes and sizes.  lol

I would like one that can take either 223 or 5.56 nato rounds.

Second picture is a buffer. It's inside the tube with a spring which controls the recoil
