I arrive Thursday night,
spend Friday with the vendors and raffle,
fly home Saturday AM.

The EJS paper is always full of great info and all of the local businesses to visit.

Do you have a room @BigPrince ?  Very limited availability and prices are high on what's left over.  I cancelled mine for the week when I found out I had to go to China, so I'm stopping by on the way home.

Booked 2 rooms at the Fairfield Thu-Sun.

Great.  Each of you should sign up for a trail on Friday so you each get a raffle ticket for Friday night.  No fun watching the raffle without a ticket.

Are you going to actually ride with ejs? There will be about 50 rigs unless it is a hard trail.  There are always groups on the open trails but there are few open trails thurs fri sat. The vendor rides are mon tues wed and they work the show thur fri.

Finally got registered.  Only took 4hrs.  Had nothing else to do on the plane I suppose. Read up on hi9/10s,  watch DIY network,  and keep hitting refresh on rr4w.com.

I was talking to Scott about axles and determined that if I had Don Prince money I would do hi9s, front and rear and get a spare third member for the long trip (Moab) quick repair.

Lol -  I kept reading about how hi9s wouldn't hold up to JKU weight and too many broken pinions on pirate.
Were these web wheelers, or actual stories?

There is a white paper on the internet that discusses why 9s are good for go fast cars, but not good for off-road vehicles.  I'll dig for it since I mentioned it.

Even Currie won't run the 9s in their off road jk's.

I dont understand that. How would it be ok for go fast but not for wheeling? The amount of stress seen in a go fast events can be equivalent to years of wheeling.

Hi 10's are rear close to the price of mega hi 9's but not close to the strength.

Further more, who is setting up these 9's that jk are breaking. If the set up is not correct it will break stuff as well as bent housings. If the housing was not properly reinforced and flexes too much, it will also cause gears to go.
