Its been a while since I've been up to Charlie's Creek area and was hoping someone had an update on the road. I heard it was graded over due to the heavy abuse by armies of Facebookers.

There is not many of us the ride Forest Service roads. Somebody might chime in later but I have no idea.

Thanks Cru. I spend most of my time on forest service roads on my dualsport, but don't make it up that far north very often. Since the cold weather set in I've been keeping to the Jeep for off road entertainment with a few pals from work.

The road now gives easy access to the river for fishing etc. I have seen several Prius's up there, you should be fine...if you want a fun place to go...go hit Choccolocco. Its just as close and more fun....take a winch and a friend though.

Last time I went to Charlie's Creek , right after they graded it, with the exception of possibly crossing the river, I could drive my miata on it!  It's that smooth!  That was about 9 months ago.  I live just a few miles from it, I'll go check it out this weekend.
Ruby mine road, off of Charlie's creek is totally blocked off now with trees and burmed up.

Was there on saturday to check out the snow, its pretty flat these days.

you know we are headed to Morris Mtn in a few weeks...come on out...I've never been there either!
