Did he say friends or "friends" because that makes a difference.

I'm still debating.  I have to replace my grill in the spring.  I probably use it 3x a week.  Then there is the whole learning curve.

Almost all the fire stations in DeKalb use the Big Green Egg. I have used one for the past 5 years and it's warranties for life! Really easy to use and it doesn't burn through the wood charcoal like gas grills. The price they have the large is a great deal! Have you checked out their HQ off of 85?

If you have a resturant, you can become a culinary partner. They give you a green egg as long as you post that you use it.

Hello, my name is Don.  I'm a newbie to the BGE.  I told Roswell Hardware I was there becuase they donated to CFR and to sell me everything I needed.  They forgot to give me the bag of charcoal but told me to come back tomorrow and pick it up. Table, large egg, bunch of other stuff I don't know what any of it is. The guy there said he was friends with Jay Desilva.  I told him I didn't know who that was.

Total cost?  Rough numbers, if you're willing to share.

Like $1200 for the egg, ash tool, grille tool, bag of charcoal, nest, plate setter, some other stuff, wood table with a granite top and the table nest rather than the full standalone nest
Bought a pizza stone, pizza spatula thing, cast iron grate, correct cover for the table and egg, loof lighter, some other stuff I can't even remember and tax was ~16-1700 out the door.  Expensive and you can buy much less than I did and be happy I'm sure.  Also got a 15% off accessories coupon so might buy something else today if someone tells me I need something.

The large egg without the table and with ash tool, charcoal, grate tool, and standalone nest was 'on sale' for $799.  Seems more a regular price and Stout Brothers in Smyrna had the same deal so probably a corporate price deal.

Thanks!
