I'd think about it if it worked for 3.8.

It wouldn't?

Also, you put an atlas in 2hi on front only? Didn't think you could.

Hello negative Nancy.   It would be 2wd lo front.  Who cares about 2hi front only?

Googling and reading says this would fit 2012-2016 Automatics.
Not negative, wasnt sure if you were saying hi range or not. Simply asking.

What's the difference between the year range in cases?

From: http://www.advanceadapters.com/tech-vault/5-new-venture-241or-roctrac/

Prior to 2012, all Roctracs received a short 23 spline input shaft and were mated to either the 42RLE, NV3550 or the NSG370 transmissions.  In 2012 Jeep retired the 42RLE and replaced it with the A580 five-speed automatic. The Roctrac used behind the A580 utilized a special 26 spline male shaft for the input.
Forgot they changed the transmission, thanks.

Damn Don! Should have just sold the jeep and started off with a new sport  haha. J/K bump for a ton of awesome deals!!!

Just currious if the early JK 241's would work in a 03+ TJ/LJ like mine with the 42RLE or is the JK trans different?

Front 2wd in low is mainly useful if you install cutting brakes for front digs.  Atlas has a detent to prevent front 2wd in high since it's apparently easier to break the case doing so.  That said, it's been documented how to modify the shift rods to remove the restrictions.

Do the different transmissions have the same transfer case bolt pattern? Wonder if it would be as easy as swapping output shafts to allow use on earlier JKs

If that transfer case will work in my 2012 3.6 auto, and Danny can do the install for me, I'd love to make that happen.

I'm going with an Atlas so if you want it, it's yours.  Jeep is already at @ALLSOUTH so they can pull it their and put it in yours I'm sure. Thoughts @PHANTOM  ?

SOLD  -  I'll call AllSouth on Monday and see if we can make this happen. Your price is fair and the convenience makes it a no-brainer.

That's the plan. I'm hoping the planets align and I get some time to play soon.
