I could make it cheap. Tent, cooler, gas... nuff said.
I've grown tired of this.

Just looked at the link. All I can say is when do we head out west boys? That looks AWESOME!
When I met Chris he mentioned organizing a group to head to Moab in the next year.   8)
Chris, when we headed west?
Killin me! Let's roll!
That gas would be KILLER!!!! It would be cheaper to buy a plane ticket in advance and then rent a Jeep. But if it's about the brother hood and the long trip.... whatever, I'll start saving  :D

We could partner with a car carrier guy to carry all the Jeeps, and we all fly or ride in custom vans, or ?? ???   It might be cheaper to fly and rent like you say, but I'd like to be in mine if at all feasible.

I've seen guys rent moving vans for a weekend and use them to tow the Jeep to River Rock. And while they're there they roll up the back and hang out and camp in there. Not a bad idea. Still gotta pay for gas though. It's a lot. The guys that have left out of LaGrange spent about $1600 on gas.  :o

Here is what we do.

I believe Dadstoy is a trucker, we could get him to haul our 4x4s out there for gas and a good price. Then just have someone with a RV (like Chris) to go out there too and we could sleep there.

MOAB, UT is 1783 miles from my house, 27 hours straight thru, so it's do-able with a team.  At 15 miles per gallon, and $4 a gallon, thats $476 each way for 6 guys, or $160 round trip fuel each, plus the MINI van rental for a week with unlimited miles for $500 a week (don't tell them where we're going) or $85 each, so before food, hotel/camp, and jeep freight, $250 each this way.

I figure $1000 each at the best on the cheap.  What a country!

When the Jeep is actually done getting modded up, I can save money for trips instead of parts and I would love to go out there if at all possible.

I look for them to change it to 1/2 gallon or liter pricing so the pain is less mentally!

I've been out to Colorado for the past 2 years in the Winter season though.  Everything is snow covered and that seems like it'd be fun.  I want to wheel out there.
