I love my mosin (russian 1902). Accurate and a beast. Would like to look into converting it into a hunting rifle for elk and bigger game in the future. It's too dang big and heavy for hunting now.
I've grown tired of this.

It was fun, accurate & not THAT much kick. My son shot it one time & was done. The look on his face was priceless. I sold it & got two .308 bolt rifles. One for me & one for me......   I mean him.

Mine has a steel buttplate and after about 10 rounds you start to really notice it.
I've grown tired of this.

Before I shot it, the first thing I did was swap it out for a rubber one.
