This is one of my biggest fears on long trips. As much as I would love to stop and park at a hotel along the route I worry too much about something happening overnight.

That's the reason I over paid for hotels on my way to Moab.  Next time I think I'll have a bed cap and sleep there on the long trips.

On mine I can take the steering wheel off the buggy and turn off the master switch.  For the truck I can set the DPTuner to NoStart tune and remove the control pod.
