Story on Steve's flop:
4 rigs, Tony, Steve, Jay, and I. Tony led us up trail 42 which happens to end up at the 'Winchin Churchill' obstacle. Not wanting to try that, we needed to turn around. Easier said than done on loose scree above a ledge. Jay was the trail rig, and hadn't climbed the ledge, so he was able to reverse easily. Steve tried to turn but kept sliding sideways. So we thought that he could back down the ledge with his front strapped to my rig. We both backed up very slowly, but as soon as his rear driver tire fell off the edge the Jeep went into a slow flop.
Jay came back to winch him back over,m while still strapped to me.
Then we had to get Tony turned around, which was another adventure involving straps and winches. U turns are not a forte of JKUs.
I had an easier time of it, but still inched down slowly unassisted.
