Outdoor ranges
JTCrump:
Being relatively new to ga, are there any outdoor ranges? I see a lot of indoor ranges scattered about, but no outdoor rifle ranges.

There are a couple public ranges. It all depends where you live. Most good outdoor ranges are members only and most clubs have long wait list. Like a year or longer to get in.

Thanks for the info.

Georgia also has WMA's (Wildlife Management Area) that have ranges. Some are not staffed. Usually a GORP (TAX) or WMA Liscense is required. http://www.georgiawildlife.com/FirearmRanges/Info
GORP is a Georgia Outdoor Rec Pass.

It's a tax on people that don't hunt or fish. If you hunt or fish buy the WMA add on and you don't have to fool with the damn GORP Tax. I'm a sportsman but I hate all the Dann taxes to go outside or hike or any of that GORP bullshit. End of rant.
