Older Android smart phone
« on: November 08, 2016, 12:54:35 PM »
Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has one laying around they don't care to get rid of.

I just got a bluetooth ODB2 scanner and it wont work with my iphone. Something about it not being a "secure" device. If anyone has an old android smartphone with wifi (to download the app needed) and bluetooth (to connect to the scanner) I'd love to be the proud new owner. I'm looking for one that's old and next to free! I'll be at Gulches this weekend.

I've got an old HTC.  Works well except sometimes the touch screen is balky.

I have a Samsung Moment, you can do the research and see if it fits your needs.  :)

Thanks! I'll do some research and see if either will work.

Scratch mine off your list.  It won't get past  the splash screen.  This may have been why I replaced it a few years ago.

The problem is the Bluetooth with Apple devices. I had the same issue and got a wireless obd2 and works perfectly
