I'll jump in the mix here with the sale on the tires. Have had it happen to me on numerous things in the past, ammo, gun parts, jeep parts, camping stuff, hunting stuff... but I never once bitched and complained about the company making bad choices or downing their product. It's just marketing and it makes SALES! If we only knew the true cost of each tire to make it would make sense. They can make more money by selling more tires than less tires for more money. It sounds like he figured this out from the 50% off deal he made. Now he sees in volume... that is where the money is. I just wish I could still afford to take advantage of a 35% off sale //:hlp//
