65" samsung 4k uhd, $849 @ costco. I wanted suhd, but couldn't justify the $600 increase. Mounted up tonight, picture is much better than 8 year old samsung it's replacing. No complaints and setup was a breeze
Have you done some research on the difference? I read a few articles saying it's BS. Very minimal time on research though. What have you found? 4K is the best before you get to OLED from what I thought
From what I gathered, 4k is 4k. The refresh rate and type of display (quantum dot, oled, etc) have an impact as well, but being able to discern that difference is subjective. After seeing them all in action, I decided it wasn't worth the premium for the minimal increase. Some of those features are a gimmick to get you to pay more, and the cost to the manufacturer is probably minimal. Those tvs will be cheap next year, just like the tv we got now was expensive last year.
I like to watch tv, but it isn't my job and I don't do it enough to justify it.
