Friday before New Years the wife and I went to stay with some friends. I pulled the tool box out of the back of the WJ to make room for the suitcase (y'all know how women pack), cooler, dogs and dog crate. Well about 7-8 miles short of getting to their cabin I heard the chime on the dash sound and looked down at the gauges. Noticed the battery volts was at about 10-11 volts, great.

Had to borrow some wrenches from the guys at the shop there in Durhamtown to remove the alternator. Fortunately Advance Auto had one in stock over in Washington. Got it swapped out Saturday morning and then off to play in the mud with our friends on their SxS.

Note to self, always carry the basics in the future.
