It should fit an 04...not sure why it wouldn't.

from the Undercover Fab site:
These UCF Transfer Case Skids are 1" deep. They require the installation of a 1" body lift for '97-'02 models. '03-'06 models require 2" of body lift or 1" body lift with tub clearancing.

They will also require you to install a SYE and CV Shaft if used in conjunction with any suspension lift. Adjustable rear upper control arms are also recommended.

They had different transmissions over those years so the bolt pattern may be a little different.

Yeah, that's the biggie with a TJ tummy tuck...but so worth it to get ride of that shovel of a skid plate. The clearance you gain is like going up 3" in tire size...at least at your belly, no change on the diffs.

You will need those items as well as adjustable uppers. This skid moves everything up quite a bit

I want to do this in the near future. Just wondering if there was anyway to do it without having a body lift. lifted motor mounts and alittle floor massaging?

Remembering  back to my TJ days, I think a 1" BL is a must. However, anything can be accomplished with enough cutting!

A 1" BL is not bad at all.

Do a 1.25 body lift. It is around $100 for a very complete body lift kit.
It will open the door for about a 10 other mods that need a body lift too.

Daystar's Body Lift Kits are more than just spacer blocks placed on top of factory mounts! Instead, these are complete replacement body mounts with an additional 1" of height, which raises the body 1". Daystar's body lift kits use a special blend of Polyurethane that is resistant to vehicle fluids and road grime while keeping the body isolated from chassis noise and vibration. These mounts keep the body properly aligned with the frame and include all the necessary hardware for installation.
