Is this a smoking good deal?
« on: February 25, 2017, 12:11:51 PM »
I don't really need another but at this price... ?

With its lightweight 22 oz. polymer frame, thin profile, and ramped 3.2 inch barrel, the newly designed Millennium G2 is the ideal concealed carry handgun.
—PT 111 the Millennium G2 features
accessory rail,
high-profile sights,
an aggressive,
textured grip and
melted edges for added comfort and easy concealment.

That's about the average price. For Fathers Day, I got mine @ Academy Sports for $299 but it came with a "free" Heritage .22 six shot revolver.

That is a lttle less than I paid for mine I believe at Cherokee.
I really llike this gun.....it's a lot better than a few years ago when
it was first introduced. You can read all the reviews. This is
what I carry everyday!

I wouldn't buy a striker fired Taurus.  My personal preference based on my experience and the advise from knowledgeable friends.
Thanks Don, what does striker fired mean? Vs pin? School me.

No hammer. It has a spring loaded pin that fires the bullet.
The gun feels great in the hand, good capacity & small frame. Good shooter to boot.

If you have a failure to fire (we never have- yet) all you need to do is pull the trigger again to fire it.

And then they issue of its in TN.

Can I buy there with a CCP? Probably have to pick it up or pay a local to receive it, right?

Why doesn't one of us (means one of you) have a license?

You can't pick up a hand gun out of state.  Would need to come to a local FFL.

That was the handgun my daughter used in her video
she posted of first time shooting. She first used my
Ruger LC9s then the Taurus. She wouldn't put the
Taurus down after that.....LOL

There was a guy from TN in the Gainesville Academy buying a shotgun. He had a CCP.
My question is
Why is a shotgun acceptable but a handgun not? Both go BOOM!!
My question is in relation to having a carry permit. I wounder how many folks with a valid carry license commit any type of crimes? Police excluded.

Doug, any hand gun from out of state has to be shipped to an FFL and transferred by them. I do this pretty regularly. However if the above price at Cherokee is still good you couldn't beat that when you add the shipping and transfer fee.

I know several of the guys at Cherokee and they are stand up folks with great prices that I can't get due to their buying power split between 3 shops.
