Well I failed miserably in 2017 but am determined to do better this year. I'm using myfitnesspal to track my calories and watching the content of what I eat. Since moving into our new office building my daily step count is up from averaging 6,000 to 9,000 a day, with some stairs. I'm on the 7th floor so I always take the stairs when going down instead of the elevator. Going up I am doing 2 to 3 flights then switching to the elevator. We have a pretty nice gym in the building which just opened this week so I plan to phase in some light work outs.
When I hit my peak weight in 2016 I decided to do something about it. I initially lost 20 pounds then went back to old habits and put it back on over time. I'm currently 10 pounds below peak and have at least 50 pounds to lose, more would be better.
I'm currently targeting 1,800 Calories - 35% Carbs, 35% Protein and 30% Fat. I'm drinking 60+ ounces of water a day and cutting back the alcohol.
It's hard to think back that I used to be embarrassed of my weight .... because I was too thin.
