That's a bunny trail only possible with stickies.

fify. I agree if you have the right tires.

Meh. I've seen all kinds go up it. Really not a hard trail at all. Beat part is after the slab. Not sure why people want to run treps when they know reds are the best tire

I've got to do showtime and pick your poison next time I'm there.

One day the famous @94xjsport94 might wheel with us again....
... and coast up Boatramp in neutral.

I made it up Boatramp first time I tried it, but water was running only on about 3/4 of the slab.

Failed second time when got sideways.  Those are the only two times I tried it.

On what tire?
Reds

If they made a 42" red for a 17" wheel I'd have those most likely.  I'm in a 4door.  I can't sacrifice 4" of clearance for a 39" red that only tapes out to 38something.

I've only seen Boatramp (slab) done on Reds and heard about Falken Wildpeaks like 2 years ago.  Never seen or heard of anyone else making it up.  (I am talking full body rigs, not counting bouncers running 40mph up it on 43" TSL stickies)
A 42" red on a 17 would be my ideal tire. I can imagine with your monster rear axle a 39" would bring the suck but I haven't noticed too many issues w my baby axles. I do think I've been running a couple pounds too much air which may help with the ground clearance. I also don't think my tires look as small as clarks.

Not available right?
42s on 20s only on reds?
Any word of more options?

42" red in a 20" - no stock

42" kr2s in a 20" - in stock

Why not run a 20" wheel?

I work every other weekend. I'm off this weekend so no can do next Saturday. Not sure where I'm riding next really... maybe Morris or chocco tomorrow? Probably cash me at W4W10.

First time up boatramp is always the easiest. Circling back around and going up the 2nd or 3rd time isn't as easy. I've seen treps, reds, 43's, falkens, and 44 TSL's all go up it with my patent pending line on it.

I do need to ride with some of y'all again... been busy signing autographs.

I mounted these 20" TR's on 42's. They're beautiful.

Why not run a 20" wheel?

You priced out a 20" beadlock? 2-4x the cost of a 17" beadlock.

TrailReady 17" beadlocks are expensive for what they are and the TR 20" beadlocks are actually cheaper than other 20" options.  When you move to 20" most options are going to jump you from cast to forged and that bring the cost of a forged wheel.  Raceline said their cast 20s kept breaking.

Ok so it just strengthens the argument that I've only seen and heard of Reds being the tire to get up the boatramp slab.
I've seen sticky treps go up it a lot of times .   Rock Jock and a buddy did it all the time years ago.

There is more water on it now that Trey and then have redirected it. Still not a hard trail, but you have to know how to go up it.

The anticipation is killing me...what is the patent pending method for success?

There are two ledges then the slab. Front tires over the first ledge, roll into it good and go until your door is at the stump and you start to slow down or stop, then crawl it.

Gotta roll into the bottom of it. Videos are on my Facebook.

Holy thread drift.  So who is going on this ride?  I'm a minimal maybe.
