Don't know the numbers but we have a honda here at work we use for shows and it is super quiet. You can have it next to the table and talk just fine over it. Definitely worth the money for that and portability. Does not weigh much at all.

Wha2y is your little one?  1000?

I believe so. Powers 4 lit model display cases, TV/dvd combo and trailer lights inside no issues.
I've grown tired of this.

Pretty good deal. The HF Honda knockoff is about the same price but its 85 db.
If the Wal mart gen could run my a.c. I'd like to get one.

I'm gonna buy it. Too good a deal to pass up. Even if it gets used for simple things like powering lights in my camper and fridge inside I will be happy.

Ordered. $192 free ship to store or another address. Will test once here and give opinions.

Honda EU series is between 49 and 60. Even the 7000.  Not a huge difference

My Rigid 7500 is rated at 71db...and I promise you it is significantly louder than my Honda EU2000i.

My 16HP V twin Briggs and Straton 8000w sounds like a train lol

I didn't think 10db was all that much from my sound measuring experience.  Maybe its also tone.

Significantly < HUGE

The db is fairly misleading. To our ear an increase in 10 db sounds twice as loud therefore something that has a DB rating of 70 will sound 4x as loud as something with a db rating of 50. Still probably quieter than the generator I have sitting in my basement.
Most LCOG Builds are like a fat girl in Yoga Pants, just cause it fits doesn't mean it works...

Interesting... we recently tested compressors for our new building and 10db wasn't that much different, based on their specs.

I know it takes a heck of a lot of watts/power to double the db's in a sound system.

I have a db meter I'll bring to camp next time for comparison.

There are also DB apps you can download. Not sure on their accuracy though.
