Why not?

Promoters put fights together to make money.  McGregor is the biggest draw out there right now and he is world class at fighting as wll.

only way Mayweather wins if it goes the distance.  He hasn't knocked anyone out in a long time

You fight your way up to fight a champ. You earn it. He's a mouth that gets ratings and a proven fighter in another field.  Yes its a fight to make $   He doesn't deserve to jump ahead of all boxing contenders. These fights are usually a bust.
