we have bigger goals in our sites than a 4 door jeep.

Sounds like Ben should just let his wife have his Jeep.

HA HA. She does not like driving my Jeep at all. Last time she did she complained it was all over the road. Fine by me ;)

My wife and I had a great time as well. We headed up Friday and came back Sunday. We made a longer weekend out of it as we needed some much needed time away. I was very bummed to not get on the stair steps or the big cave and even at the end when everyone was ready to head out still wanted to try some off shoots to try and find it. Thanks to everyone that showed up to make these rides what they are... fun!

I didn't get too may pics but here is a link to the ones I did get, I'll also add my wife photos to this from her camera. http://s921.photobucket.com/user/gint2/slideshow/2017-6-17%20-%20GATR%20Cove

So... you guys got lost.... again?  Where was Tom?  I thought he was leading the group around since you and Ben got lost last time up there?

the guy that was suppose to lead, had a hurt foot, but we heard stories that he is NOt one to actually lead, so no one knew we where on our own till we showed up..  no ones fault. not sure where "Tom" was , but Ben & AJ did a great job of making sure we did plenty of water crossings and found some rocks as well.

All-n-All, its just enjoying the ride, with friends, no pressure, great day with great friends on some trials..  getting lost , its all in how you decide to look at it. .   ..   win/win in my book.

I wouldn't say "lost".  The road goes straight through and we knew, for the most part, where we were.  Tom had his foot wrapped up and said he hurt it and couldn't drive.  We didn't have a guide so did the best we could.  I got the GEO cords from a guy we saw on the trail but couldn't locate the big cave.  I have another name to guide us next time.  In my book this Tom cat is scratched off.

Marie says the guy we need is Pete. So maybe later in the year we can find this guy and do a fall crawl. Don, next time you want to step up and lead feel free. It's not easy being thrown into the position of leading when the guy who was supposed to be "leading" can't. I did the best I could based on the short time I spent there previously when AJ and I had went to explore for a short time. We never found the big cave as we had the local yocals giving us directions only a local would understand. The first time we went we figured we were lost but actually were not. Road follows the river and we found an exit up and out and did the same this trip. Was I disappointed in not finding the main objective, yes. But I don't think anyone had a bad time. We all made it out, nobody broke and nobody left behind. To me that is a win in my book.
